A theme for these blogs and perhaps more relevant at these times, has been the notion of keeping balanced. The idea of balance in our lives is an area I will write about in future blogs, in this one Mrs Summerhouse offers her version based on her yoga skills.

Yoga balancing postures require concentration and this helps us achieve a calmness when holding certain poses. This simple short sequence  can be added to your practice at the beginning or end. Modifications can be made for legs that are stiff, i.e. keeping legs bent instead of straight.

After this sequence, rest on flat back for a few breaths before continuing practice.
