We usually post Mrs Summerhouse’s art on a Friday but for one reason and another this will be a Tuesday offering. It’s a bit different because the technique involves a kind of engraving process using a Wacom pen on paper although probably any instrument with a relatively sharp end would do and then ‘covering’ the image with different colour crayons (Faber Castell, polychromos), as you can see. She’s using this type of pencil crayon as recommended to her by her friend Maggie from Beeswing Art, another talented artist, take a look at her work on her website.
The above picture is of Nidderdale again and is only about 6 by 8 inches in old money. We think it works well and I have no doubt she’ll be using this technique again.
