Something a bit different this time from Mrs SH. Most of her art work is from the area of Nidderdale or the Yorkshire Dales, mostly around the barn / vineyard. This picture is taken from a photo I took while walking the dogs in a place called Shipley Park described as 700 acres of park with 20 miles of paths (of which the picture is one) and bridleways. It’s a couple of miles from the Derbyshire cottage and where we most often walk the pups when we’re staying at this house. It’s a remarkable transformation for the area that I knew as a child / teenager. Then it was an area mostly covered by mines and open-cast mining. Now it’s beautiful, rolling hills covered in flowers and grasses and if it weren’t for the bloody horse flies that keep biting me, it would be perfect. Anyway here is just one scene from the park.
