Mrs Summerhouse’s Art : Nidderdale in February

niddy

Something different for February. It’s a picture from the banks of the River Nidd just up river from Pateley Bridge. It’s based on a photo taken on one of our morning dog walks in that area. We took the photo and with the sun behind the trees and directly into the camera, it made them look like silhouettes. As you can see this seemed to lend itself to a black and white image which we thought made a change to my usual colourful offering. It’s charcoal on canvas and the canvas is about 2 and half feet by 3 feet in old money.

A blog about the psychology of retirement and finding a new identity while maintaining my self esteem. It's also about 'the missing link', an answer to that feeling that there must be more to retirement than this. Or is that just me?
