A final pictorial reflection on our trip to Ireland last month. Mrs Summerhouse’s version of the view from the cottage we stayed in. This is Innistooskert one of the Blasket Islands I’ve mentioned before. These islands are off the coast of Kerry, the largest one (Great Blasket, not pictured) is where the islanders lived until 1953. Innistooskert is also known I think as The Sleeping Giant. The building on the right of this picture is the Blasket Island museum. A lovely place to visit and otherwise known as my west coast office.

A restful and vivid scene—if those two attributes can exist side by side! Ask Mrs. S. She is the artist, and she should know. Anyway, that’s how this picture seems to me. I absolutely love it!
