A memento of our Irish holiday from Mrs Summerhouse. From a photo of one of the Blasket Islands known as The Sleeping Giant (sorry can’t do the gaelic version) for obvious reasons. She’s used this image before in her art but loves it so much that she keeps going back to it. This photo was taken just as the sun was setting and the island’s silhouette was shown to its best. It makes for a unique image of this island off the coast of West Kerry and all from the view from our kitchen window in ‘our’ Dunquin house.
