Always interesting to see what people do with their increased leisure time. Also to see if their activity has any connection with the government’s instruction to self-isolate. Here are four examples we found locally, next door but one in the case of the caravan.
My neighbour acquired this charming thing a couple of weeks before lock-down was imposed. Did he know what was coming and get prepared? Distanced from the family and yet within reach if really required.
The other two are very different from each other. One is a tent as you can see, temporarily located on the local college rugby playing field. I’ve heard commentators say the opposition is camped out in the other team’s half but this is taking it to literal extremes. It moved around a bit but it was there for three of four days before disappearing.
The second is the kind of dwelling that has been springing up in the woods behind our house. We discovered them when walking the dogs. They look rather sweet and so far they’ve been a permanent addition to our morning and afternoon walk. Not sure whether they were built by kids or adults acting as kids. If it was kids then it’s nice that they’re engaging in the kind of harmless fun we used to indulge in, a bit like those childhood games I wrote about recently.
