The second in the monthly series of pictures from Mrs Summerhouse. As she describes it – the view from the Wath Road out of Pateley Bridge towards Lofthouse is one that always inspires me. I particularly like the shapes and colours after the fields have been harvested. This picture is pastels on canvas and I have painted the same view in oils and watercolours and ink.
Just a reminder that my exhibition is currently showing and for the rest of the month at How Stean gorge near Lofthouse and my open day at the barn is on August 22nd.

Lovely to see your work Ellen -beautiful colours on the fields! Hope the exhibition and open day go well.
